Research activities at LCTS : mechanical characterization of materials, principally  thermostructural composites.

  • Nano-indentation, nano-scratch test, push-out.
  • Micro-mechanical characterization of monofilaments, micro and mini-composites.
  • Study of shock and damage resistance of composite materials.
  • Thermomechanical characterization at high temperatures (up to 2500 K) ceramic fibers (carbon, silicon carbide, …).
